Presentation Synopsis:
|
|
The current A-SMGCS Level 2 Safety Net detects runway conflicts based on available surveillance data. However, this system has no knowledge of ATC authorizations. An improvement of the existing Runway Safety Net is proposed where new alerting rules take account of the controller’s inputs through an Electronic Flight Progress Strip system to anticipate conflicts and therefore to increase the time available to determine and communicate conflict resolutions.
