Airbus is a leading aircraft manufacturer with the most modern and comprehensive family of airliners on the market, ranging in capacity from 100 to more than 500 seats.
Air Traffic Management (ATM) is a strategic topic for Airbus: the existing limitations of the current ATM system represent an obstacle for a further sustainable growth. Airbus has engaged in a real step change, in particular through a full commitment to SESAR, the European ATM modernisation programme. As ‘aircraft integrator’, Airbus will define and develop future onboard ATM operations and capabilities. An integrated team from Airbus, Astrium and Defence & Security also provides “Industrial Support” to the SJU to develop robust System Engineering methodology and address the technical coherence at programme level.
